ABOUT THE JOB
Tsebo Solutions Group is seeking a qualified Project Manager to oversee the daily operational management of its healthcare catering portfolio in the KwaZulu-Natal region. The core purpose of the role is to ensure that all sites are run efficiently, deliver high-quality services in line with agreed standards and service level agreements (SLAs), and meet budget and growth targets. The Project Manager will also be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships and supporting site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and guide catering managers and their teams.
- Build and maintain excellent client relationships, ensuring quality service and operational productivity.
- Develop strategies for business growth with the operations director.
- Work within budget guidelines, including planning, forecasting, and financial oversight.
- Implement company standards, policies, and procedures in line with legal and internal requirements.
- Handle the operational environment under pressure and maintain quality control.
- Oversee cash management functions like stock checks, debtors, and cash reconciliations.
- Support human resource functions, including training, performance management, and development.
- Maintain and improve operational standards and meet performance goals.
Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate must have strong business understanding, excellent communication and organisational skills, good time management, computer literacy, reliability, attention to detail, and an innovative approach to improving systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12) plus culinary or relevant tertiary qualifications.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, including management exposure.
- Familiarity with accounting and financial systems.
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle will be of advantage.
